Why GTA[Grand theft auto] Games will never die || Why GTA games are so popular|| what makes GTA games different from others??

Hey Archivers? welcome! In today’s article, we are going to talk about why we believe GTA [grand theft auto] games will never die.

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) is a series of action-adventure games created by David Jones and Mike Dailly.[2] Later titles were developed under the oversight of brothers Dan and Sam HouserLeslie Benzies, and Aaron Garbut. It is primarily developed by British development house Rockstar North (formerly DMA Design), and published by its parent company, Rockstar Games. The name of the series references the term “grand theft auto”, used in the United States for motor vehicle theft. – source: Wikipedia

Why GTA [Grand Theft Auto] games will never die.

1.Old-school GTA:

I don’t know about you guys but for me, GTA games hold so many gaming memories with some personal old school favorites being GTA vice city and GTA San Andreas. I remember rushing home from school because I just couldn’t wait to get into my gaming seat, turn on my PC and start gaming. Completing missions wasn’t really at the top of my list at the time because It felt like more fun to I just hijack cars, perform stunts, pick fights with random pedestrians and deliberately provoke the police. yes! I was a bit of a wild card. To me, These memories are reminders of how far GTA has come and how much it has evolved to becoming one the most played online console games.

2.Offline Gaming

Unlike most countries in 2016 and earlier, life in India for online gamers was totally different. Access to good internet was very limited, so we didn’t have high speed internet and the 3g mobile internet pack was way more costly than it is today, hence the only games we played were offline games, and GTA San Andreas was one of them. Hours of gaming felt like minutes because of what looked like an endless list of possibilities in the open world of GTA, a game that we’d play for long periods of time and not get bored, unlike other games that required players to complete missions to progress, with few or no options to do anything else.

3. Story:

It could be a tv show, web series, a movie or a game but if it has a great story then people are bound to like it. GTA did indeed have good stories, some better than others but good overall. At least that’s my opinion. After I realized the excitement that came with playing missions, I starting focusing on completing them and slowly got hooked on the story and grew eager to know how things would play out. I realized that the fun part of the game was not limited to just hijacking cars and driving around the city, picking fights and deliberately provoking the police. There where so many fun things to do. I remember when I really started to follow and understand the story in GTA San Andreas and found out that Ryder was betraying carl Johnson. I was sad for a week due to this, and as the game moved on I started feeling more and more connected to it. This what a great story can do!

4.Open World:

In its early years, GTA redefined open-world gaming by allowing players to play beyond just missions thus making it popular and a must-have amongst gamers. Basically You could do whatever you want whenever you wanted, be it just aimlessly walking in the streets, hijacking cars and driving off to wherever, buying weapons and going on killing spree, getting into a fist fight with a stranger for absolutely no reason at all and more. Newer versions included even more activities like swimming, riding bicycles, flying aircrafts and parachuting down, owning a cell phone, getting a haircut and having a drink etc. While other games stuck to having players complete missions with not much else to do, GTA took a different approach and gave its players an option to choose to do the missions or not and still enjoy the game. This really made GTA a game to own even back and to this day, most of its players play it for the very reason that they get to do what they want whenever they want. And with 2013 releases like GTA online and GTA V players are able to interact with other online players world wide making the gaming experience even more fun!

5.Community:

The GTA gaming Community was so in love with the game that even when the official developers stopped updating the game, players who knew game development continued to update it with more features like different skins, cars structures, weapons, landscapes and more, using game mods. The GTA community never stopped at this and have continued to further develop the game, which has contributed to its long existence. To this day if you search for mods, you will find players are still doing it. If this isn’t true loyalty then I don’t know what is! It is for these reasons that I strongly believe that GTA players will never let it die.
